The Fulton County Historical Society Barn Quilt Tour for 2018 was a great success. We had 2 buses, with 80 people, a beautiful day, and saw over 70 barn quilts. With our expert narrators, Mike Crampton and Dick Miller that added to all of the rich history of the county. We stopped in Akersville and had a great homemade lunch in the Akersville Community Church. They had over 50 vendors and even had a French fry vendor that actually made fries over an open fire in a kettle. There was plenty of homemade deserts and peach ice cream along with a live band. We later stopped at Younkers Meat Market in Mercersburg for some free cookies and lots of fresh meat to buy. We want to thank all of the people that went on the trip and for the Bowman Bus service for driving slowly enough to catch each quilt.
See you next year.
